Kennebecasis Book Club

The Adult Book Club meets every third Thursday at 12 noon in the large meeting room.

Newcomers Coffee Hour
The Club meets every Monday morning from 10:00-11:00p.m.  Make new friends and practice your English in a comfortable social setting.  Everyone welcome.  English speaking volunteers required. 

Thursday Night Knitting Club: For all ages and skills. Join Yolanda Kippers from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and learn how to make it yourself!

Toddler Story Time
This program is designed to meet the developmental needs of children 18 months to 3 years old.  Adults and toddlers share stories, songs, rhymes and other activities. Join us on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:00.   Registration is not required.

Three-and-Up Club Story Time
This program is designed to help grow the imaginations and attention spans of children ages 3-5.  Both children and adults are encouraged to participate and most importantly have fun!  Join us from 10:30 to 11:00 on Friday mornings.  Registration is not required.

Family Drop-In Table
Check out our family drop-in center with puzzle sheets, crafts, and stories for parents and children to enjoy together. A new theme and craft each week.

NEW! Wednesday Babies in the Library:  For babies up to 18 months and their parents/caregivers.  Finger plays, knee bounces, lap rhymes and stories for you and your baby. Registration is required.  Next session: March 10-31 from 10:30-11:00 am.

On Display

On the Wall: Paintings by Rodney Senior and friends.  Half the proceeds of the sale of these paintings will be donated to Haitian Relief.

Special Events

March Break Events

We will be screening Finding Farley (National Film Board) and Runaway on Monday March 1 at 2pm.  Free admission.

In Finding Farley, Leanne Allison (Being Caribou), Karsten Heuer and their two-year old son Zev journey from Calgary to Cape Breton retracing the iconic writer Farley Mowat’s literary footsteps. 

Runaway, a Cannes award-winning film, is an animated short film that takes you on a journey that is both funny and disastrous.
